Bedford Autodrome Track Day Club
Another superb day last Saturday 27 October with some of our "faster Ford" drivers with a stunning array of machinery to lust over. With a gang of 9 Perkins members attending in various Mountune and standard Fast Ford ST Focus/ ST Fiesta and RS Focus models we left Great Dunmow in the snow covered roads at 6.15 am to arrive at the Bedford Autodrome GT circuit bathed in bright sunshine, a dry track and pumping heart full of excitement.
After the usual safety briefing, our citing laps and a few quick safety checks on our cars, we were let lose onto the amazing 3.5 mile GT circuit with it's long straights and challenging chicanes all day. As always there were some beautiful cars to admire and lots of friendly, chatty car owners just happy to talk about their own cars and interests.
Yep that is a MCLAREN MP4 12C !! - the noise was rather spine chilling !
