It is now Monday 23rd of March 2020, just a few days into the COVID-19 pandemic. At Perkins, from a SERVICE / MOT / RECALL / WARRANTY perspective, business operations are changing - For the last 7-10 days, we have been instructing our loyal customers to stay at home / work and let us pick up and deliver your vehicle. Its free of charge and its working well so far. We need to protect our teams in the various departments and we think we need to keep the contact between us and you to a minimum. If you are one of our customers, we are at work and we are here to look after your vehicles safety to help your keep your family safe.
THE WAY WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING AT THIS SITUATION IS THAT YOUR VEHICLE MUST BE LEGALLY TAXED , INSURED AND MOT'D - If your MOT expires, then your insurance will be invalid and you will not be able to re-tax your car either. If your car is under manufacturer warranty, it MUST be kept within its servcing schedules. Although the car manufacturers we are in partnership with have not made any comments or statements as yet, our opinion currently is that if your vehicle misses its scheduled service whilst within manufactuer warranty because of the owner being in isolation, then that is potenially going to be a problem as time goes on. We have a system that is practised and working so we think its best to be safe than sorry so please take advantage of our FREE PICK UP AND DELIVERY SERVICE.
We have increased sanitisation aids and have been implementing throughout all our sites improved hygiene for all parties. This includes, but is not limited, to drivers wearing the appropriate gloves, clothing and protective equipment (including wipes). We have an enhanced cleaning regime for all workspaces and vehicles - pens or tablets used for signatures are cleaned with sanitising wipes before an employee touches or uses them.

Send us the pictures of your car to part exchange so we can professionaly and accurately give you a guide valuation subject to final inspection when you arrive at the dealership ( firstname.lastname@example.org ) . Ask our Sales Team for finance quotations if required. We can approve your finance before you arrive so your time in the dealership can be as short as possible. You can make final payment electronically to reduce further chance of contact and we have now authorised unaccompanied test drives for our own previous customers.
